Inspiring inventions: the National Centre RUSSIA presents the "Library of the Future" exposition
Literary works created by science fiction writers play a great role in shaping the future. It is they who inspire talented scientists and designers for advanced developments, inventions and technologies. It is no coincidence that the first hall, where the guests of the National Centre RUSSIA get to, is dedicated to books that teach to dream and imagine from childhood. Its name is "Library of the Future."
The virtual bookshelves present works that helped people to dream in the distant past, but have not lost their relevance today.
At the exposition, older guests remember with pleasure how they fantasized about life on the Moon together with Neznayka and his friends, relive the adventures of Kolya Naumov and Alisa Selezneva, and imagine the Time Machine and the Myelophone mind-reading device, which are still a dream for us.
Young visitors to the "Library of the Future" will learn more about the brave innovators and masters of imagination of different times, who enthusiastically explored the spaces of the future and created fantastic worlds that exist outside the boundaries of the usual reality. And very soon it will be they, our young visitors, who will realize the dreams of the past or create new incredible ideas for the further development of science and technology.
The National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations, and regions take part in the Centre’s work.
The first event at the National Centre RUSSIA was the International Symposium "Inventing the Future," which welcomed more than 6,000 guests from 101 countries.
One of the tracks of the Open Dialogue is "Investments in Human Capital." The pitch session on this topic brought together over 30 speakers.
One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world.
The pitch sessions on four tracks took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on April 28, with the participation of authors whose essays were selected by the expert council of the National Centre.
