Vice-President of Uganda visited the "Journey Across Russia" exposition of the National Centre RUSSIA
Vice-President of the Republic of Uganda Jessica Alupo got acquainted with the Siberian taiga and touched the sands of Kamchatka at the large-scale exposition "Journey Across Russia". The visit of a high-ranking delegation to the National Centre RUSSIA took place on June 19. In one hour, the guests got a glimpse of all the federal districts of the country.
"The exposition is very interesting, very informative and educative. It combines the past, the present, and the future. And, most importantly, it represents an evolving man, the evolution of humanity — science, technology and innovation. Also, conservation, culture, and, what is also important, nationality," Jessica Alupo emphasized.
The Vice President of Uganda was particularly interested in Kuzbass, Russia's most important industrial region. Jessica Alupo asked about the geographical location of the Kuznetsk coal basin, one of the world's largest coal deposits. As much as by Kuzbass, the high-ranking guest was impressed by an interactive KAMAZ exhibit representing a legendary truck, and dedicated to the Russian manufacturer of trucks, special machinery and diesel engines.
Earlier, the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda took part in a meeting of the Federation Council in Moscow, where she expressed her sincere gratitude to Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko for the warm welcome. Jessica Alupo emphasized that there are truly cordial and warm relations between Uganda and Russia, which are based on common values and bring mutual benefits to the peoples of both states.
