VII International Festival of Theater Schools of BRICS+ Countries to be held at the RUSSIA EXPO
From June 1
to June 8, the RUSSIA EXPO will host the largest international event in the
cultural sphere of the capital - the VII International Festival of Theater
Schools of BRICS+ Countries. VDNH will become the territory of the holiday,
uniting creative youth of the world and will become a stage for students of
theater schools of BRICS+ countries.
The
International Festival of Theatre Schools of BRICS+ countries and Belarus has
been organized annually since 2017 by the Institute of Theatre Art named after
People's Artist of the USSR I.D. Kobzon. The Festival is known worldwide as the
first innovative platform for intercultural exchange of theater universities of
different countries in the field of dramatic art and public diplomacy.
This year
the Festival will be attended by young people from Russia, China, India, Iran,
UAE, South Africa and Belarus. Representatives of the world's theater schools,
nationalities and cultures, students and masters come together to learn to
comprehend the skills of an actor in any directorial focus and reading.
At the VII
International Festival of Theater Schools of BRICS+ countries, the chosen play
for the performance was Pushkin's "The Tale of the Fisherman and the
Fish". This work is known all over the world, so all the audience will be
able to understand the essence of the work, enjoy the unique interaction of
actors from different theater schools without an interpreter.
Delegations
have been preparing for the meeting for a year and, coming to Moscow, will show
their theatrical productions, which will merge into a single large final
performance in the format of "Let's Play Together!", a single mosaic
of stage phenomena of one play. This performance will be the apogee of the
Festival.
For the
first time, such an experiment was realized by the Institute exactly within the
framework of the Festival. Thousands of theater fans all over the world are
waiting for the extraordinary presentation of theater productions live, because
in such a performance the play can be seen only once a year. Residents and
guests of the capital will be able to see it with their own eyes.
On June 1,
on the International Children's Day, there will be a colorful procession of
more than 100 participants of the Festival on the square in front of the main
entrance to VDNH and the opening concert of the Festival, which will be
attended by deputies of the Moscow City Duma and representatives of the
cultural community of Russia, as well as people's and honored artists of the
Russian Federation, children's choreographic groups and soloists.
From June 2
to June 6, a program of masterclasses in acting, plastics and choreography will
be presented to a wide audience of spectators. Visitors to the Exposition will
see the process of rehearsals and staging of their own versions of A.S.
Pushkin's "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish" by the theater
schools of the countries participating in the Festival.
On June 7,
the Exposition audience will see the preparation and the first performance of a
joint production based on Alexander Pushkin's work "The Tale of the
Fisherman and the Fish" in the "Let's Play Together!" format.
The rehearsal process will be an incredible and unique opportunity for the
audience to get inside the working process of theater life, to be in the
atmosphere of the birth of a new play and immediately see the result of the
work of artists and directors.
June 8 will
be the final day of the VII International Festival of Theatre Schools of BRICS+
Countries. A multinational cast of artists of the joint performance based on
Alexander Pushkin's "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish" in the
"Let's Play Together!" format will demonstrate their art to the
general public of the Exposition. The artists will interact with each other in
their native languages on one stage in one performance without an interpreter.
The audience will enjoy a unique theatrical spectacle. The closing ceremony
will be attended by theater and film stars.
In 2018, Russia became the country that hosted the best FIFA World Cup in history — according to the organisers themselves and fans from around the world.
More than one hundred representatives from 48 countries gathered in Moscow, at the National Centre RUSSIA, for the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World.
