The flavour of Far Eastern wild herbs: taiga tea tasting held at the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye
The fragrant aroma, crisp rusks, and the cosiness of an
autumn day. That was the atmosphere of the workshop "Taiga Tea
Tasting" held at the Primorye branch of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The event took place as part of the Autumn Days and became a
pleasant surprise for visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye.
Guests were greeted with hot tea infused with wild herbs from the Primorye
taiga, brewed in a real wood-fired samovar. Rusks and wafers were served with
the tea.
During the tasting, 30 litres of tea were prepared and more
than 100 cups were served to visitors. The drink was prepared by the team of
the Russian Samovar cafe.
The taiga tea became a perfect continuation of the excursion
around the Primorye branch of the National Centre RUSSIA, where visitors learn
about the nature and culture of the region. After hearing stories about the
richness of the Far Eastern taiga, its flora and fauna, and the traditions of
the peoples of the region, the aromatic tea with wild herbs let guests literally
taste Primorye.
Today Vladivostok is rightly considered the gastronomic
capital of the Far East. Here, the traditions of different peoples combine with
the flavours of the sea and the gifts of the taiga, creating a unique culinary
palette. Among its symbols is Far Eastern tea — an aromatic and refreshing
drink that unites the energy of Primorye’s nature with the warmth of Russian
tea-drinking traditions. Its flavour has long become a hallmark of the region
and a favourite treat for guests of Primorye.
