Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants of the "Knowledge" award ceremony at the RUSSIA EXPO
In his
welcoming speech, the head of state thanked those who, at the call of their
hearts, undertake a responsible and noble educational mission and help to
revive the "Knowledge" society.
"Taking
this opportunity, I would like to welcome all participants of the ceremony of
awarding the main prize in the field of education, and through you -
scientists, school teachers and educators, representatives of business,
culture, sports, volunteers. And of course, veterans and servicemen who devote
themselves to mentoring," Vladimir Putin said.
The
President noted that now the work of the organization is built on a
qualitatively new level. In a fairly short period of time "Knowledge"
has managed to gather under its wing a large team of experts, educators,
including outstanding people, real stars of domestic science, economics,
industry, culture, specialists in state administration and leaders of public
opinion. They generously share their experience, help young people, the younger
generation in their desire to learn new things, to learn from recognized
professionals. And, very importantly, they inspire them by their personal
example.
As Vladimir Putin noted, the key to the future of the country, the continuity of its development is in the fact that young people have reliable life guidelines, that they consider our traditional values as truly their own, learn from the best examples of national and world culture, literature, achievements of science and education and, of course, know the history of their country, the names of real heroes and creators.
"History gives us an understanding of our roots, those difficult, turning points which our ancestors underwent, creating and defending the greatness of the country. These are the most important, defining things that serve as the basis of national identity, make us a unified nation. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our like-minded partners from friendly countries. Your educational projects help us to better know and understand each other, foster respect for authentic cultures and traditions. This means that they serve to strengthen trust between peoples," the head of state emphasized.
