Vladimir Putin congratulates Russians on Russia Day
Love for the Motherland, memory of the heroic feats of ancestors and responsibility for the country’s future have united Russians for centuries. The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said this in his congratulatory address on Russia Day.
"Dear friends! Colleagues! I congratulate you on Russia Day. We mark this holiday with a warm and heartfelt attitude towards the Motherland, with pride in the grand labour and military achievements of many generations of our ancestors, with respect for the key events of national history and, of course, with the understanding that all stages of our state’s more than thousand-year journey are one single whole. A deep, personal perception of Russia is part of the character of our people, for whom unity and patriotism have always been key values, helping them overcome all difficulties, defeat enemies, build and create their country, and preserve our historical and cultural legacy," Vladimir Putin said.
The head of state added that sincere feelings of responsibility for the Fatherland are close to everyone. For participants in the special military operation, this is a reliable spiritual support, as is the support for the heroes from the entire Russian people and society as a whole.
On Russia Day, the central event of the All-Russian classical music marathon "Cantata. Russia" will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA. Concerts will take place throughout the day in 15 regions of the country, from Kaliningrad to the Far East, bringing together thousands of viewers, musicians and creative groups. The marathon is being held as part of the VI Cantata International Classical Music Festival and is one of the largest events in the field of academic art in Russia.
The broadcast of the gala concert of the All-Russian classical music festival "Cantata. Russia" can be watched on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA in the "Livestreams and Video" section, while the Kultura TV channel will air the concert programme at 23:30.
