On March 26, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir
Putin held a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Russian public-and-state
movement of children and youth Movement of the First, at the National Centre
RUSSIA. The meeting took place as part of the IV Congress of the Movement of
the First.
"The
Movement is growing and expanding, with more than 11 million members today.
This is already a sizeable ‘army.’ What is very important is that the Movement
is actively operating not only in major cities but also in small towns and
rural areas. It must provide equal opportunities for young people across our
entire country," noted Vladimir Putin.
The
President of Russia emphasized that various projects of the Movement of the
First actively involve not only children and teenagers but also their parents,
often forming entire family teams.
"I
consider this to be very important and the right approach because, of course,
when it comes to the upbringing and development of young people, parents play a
key role — they are the natural partners of the Movement. The formats of this
partnership are also expanding, they should be made as engaging and interesting
as possible for both children and adults. In this regard, I would like to
sincerely thank everyone who has joined the work of the Movement. I would
especially like to highlight that more and more participants of the special
military operation are becoming mentors. It is extremely important that combat
veterans — people of different nationalities, ages, and professions, who stood
together in defense of our Motherland — are now standing side by side in the
most crucial and fundamental mission for Russia’s future: raising children and
teenagers," said Vladimir Putin.
Vladimir Putin also reminded everyone of the key principle of the Movement of the First: schoolchildren and teenagers are co-authors of all decisions made.
From March 26 to 28, the IV Congress of the Movement of the First is taking place at the National Centre RUSSIA. The event brings together more than 2,000 participants from 89 regions of the country, including teachers, mentors, members of the Coordination Council, Board of Trustees, and Scientific and Methodological Councils of the Movement of the First, representatives of the International Association of Children's Organizations, and honorary guests.
The progress of import substitution was discussed at the National Centre RUSSIA by the heads of leading telecom operators and equipment manufacturers.
The best projects by Russian IT companies were recognised at the National Centre RUSSIA.
