Vladimir Putin visits the RUSSIA EXPO for the sixth time
Although the International RUSSIA EXPO has concluded its work, it is open today for employees and their families.
Today, July 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin visits the Atom Pavilion of the RUSSIA EXPO along with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Earlier, the head of state visited the Exposition on its final day, July 8. The President met with the organizers, staff and representatives of the Exposition's participants. During the meeting, he thanked the Exposition team and its participants for their work and noted the huge interest in the Exposition on the part of the country's residents — more than 18.5 million people visited it.
"We have much to show and be proud of. But it is also important to present it beautifully and skillfully. And you have succeeded in this! Thank you very much! We have agreed to create the National Centre on the EXPO site; this has been decided. We will also be doing this in the regions of the Russian Federation. I would like it to be as vibrant as you have managed to do here," the President said.
On December 4, Vladimir Putin examined the exposition "First in Russia — Land of Opportunity". On December 17, the President toured the stands of the regions in Pavilion No. 75. On January 23, Vladimir Putin launched the Year of the Family in Russia at the RUSSIA EXPO. On February 1, Vladimir Putin met with participants of the Congress of the Movement of the First.
The International RUSSIA EXPO showcased the country's major achievements on a single platform. Throughout the Exposition, guests enjoyed cultural events, as well as a rich business and educational program. Expositions from 89 regions of Russia, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations were presented to visitors.
On July 1, President Vladimir Putin signed an order to establish the Russia National Centre to preserve the Exposition’s legacy and demonstrate the country's achievements.
On May 17, at the National Centre RUSSIA, a session called "Architectural Masks" was held, where children made cardboard mask models of characters from Roald Dahl's book "The Enormous Crocodile."
The living legend — the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after A.V. Alexandrov will perform at the National Centre RUSSIA on May 23.
