Victory Volunteers to summarise the year at the National Centre RUSSIA
Over 1,500 volunteers of the International Volunteer Corps
marking the 80th anniversary of Victory from 89 Russian regions and more than
35 countries will gather at the National Centre RUSSIA from 5 to 9 November.
Throughout the year, they co-organised patriotic campaigns, held remembrance
and courage lessons, arranged historical quests, and cared for the Heroes of
the Great Patriotic War and the Second World War.
The opening ceremony of the Final Forum of the International
Volunteer Corps marking the 80th anniversary of Victory will be held on 6
November. During the ceremony, distinguished guests will address the
participants with welcoming remarks. The Head of the Federal Agency for Youth
Affairs, Grigory Gurov, will present the badge of distinction "Volunteer
of Russia". It is awarded to volunteers who have taken part in volunteer
initiatives for several years and have shown dedication, courage and bravery,
or performed a heroic act while carrying out volunteer work.
The first event of the Final Forum of the International
Volunteer Corps marking the 80th anniversary of Victory will feature creative
performances. Each one will serve as an emotional highlight of the programme,
revealing the forum’s key themes: remembrance and continuity, international unity,
and volunteerism as a force of peace and gratitude. The opening ceremony will
also include a performance of the song "Katyusha" in 40 languages and
a concert by the Honoured Artist of Russia Zara.
The forum’s programme will include strategic and educational
sessions on the development of civic and patriotic volunteering, exchanges of
regional and international practices, an award ceremony for the winners of the
International Award "Ready for Victories", a summary of the
International Volunteer Corps’ work for the 80th anniversary of Victory,
meetings with Heroes, historians and mentors, as well as cultural and
sightseeing events dedicated to the Victory legacy and the 10th anniversary of
the "Victory Volunteers" movement.
The forum is organised by the All-Russian public movement
"Victory Volunteers" with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth
Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Moscow Committee for Public Relations and Youth
Policy, Rosmolodezh’s programme "More than a Trip", the Presidential
Grants Foundation, and other partner organisations.
The programme opened with several major cultural and educational events.
