On November 4 – 6, the International Symposium "Inventing the Future" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA, bringing together scientists, researchers, futurists, writers, and government representatives from 101 countries.

Over 100 volunteers supported participants and assisted in organizing dozens of sessions.

"The Symposium was the first event at the National Centre. We made every effort to ensure that volunteers were as helpful as possible to participants. Moreover, the presence of volunteers at the sessions has a significant impact on the young people — they gain valuable new knowledge and practical experience," noted Sergei Sokolov, Deputy Head of the Youth Projects Department at the National Centre RUSSIA.

Alongside the volunteers, 30 volunteer program managers, mostly students who proved themselves during the International RUSSIA EXPO, are also working at the National Centre RUSSIA.

The National Centre RUSSIA plans to develop a standard for organizing volunteer programs for large and significant national events. Future volunteers will be able to receive training at the Centre on effectively assisting in event organization, honing the necessary skills for this role. Regional branches will, in turn, receive guidelines on organizing volunteer programs.

The International Symposium "Inventing the Future" is being held from November 4 to 6. Participants include scientists, researchers, futurists, science fiction writers, and representatives from government bodies from 101 countries, including Russia, India, Italy, Iran, China, the UAE, Serbia, the USA, and France. The program features over 60 sessions across four tracks: "Future of Human," "Future of Technology," "Future of Multipolar World," and "Future of Civilizations." The program and event broadcasts are available at the website future.russia.ru.

The International Symposium "Inventing the Future" is the first event of the National Centre RUSSIA, which was established on July 1, 2024, by the order of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The Centre aims to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens. The work of the Centre involves federal authorities, state companies, corporations, and regions.
