Everything about the architect profession can be learned at the National Centre RUSSIA through workshops
On March 19, as part of "The Birth of Scale" exposition, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the "Capsule of Ideas" workshop led by members of the Union of Architects and the Union of Designers of Russia, as well as instructors from the ANO DPO "FA-SAD Architecture and Design Studio," Inna and Valery Salikhov. Participants learned about modular design and created their own projects.
"We are preparing young people for the architect profession. An architect works in a team of like-minded individuals, as well as alongside specialists from related fields — designers, engineers of various disciplines. That is why we often assign collective tasks at our workshops, where participants need to express themselves while also integrating their work with that of others. It is important to negotiate and deliver a unified result. The outcome of the masterclass was a composition consisting of a frame-like structure with all the details suspended and glued together by participants using foam board modules," explained Inna Salikhova.
During the masterclass, participants gained theoretical knowledge about the principles of modular design and applied them in practice. First, each created their own individual element, and then, working together, they assembled a unified three-dimensional composition.
Seventh-grade student Ivanka Navysotskaya attended a class at the National Centre RUSSIA for the first time.
"I study in an architecture and art class. We've already done similar projects, so it was quite easy for me, but at the same time, it was an exciting task. I want to become an architect in the future and plan to apply to MARCHI. I find such workshops very necessary and useful," said Ivanka Navysotskaya.
Daria Varlamova had already participated in events organized by the ANO DPO "FA-SAD Architecture and Design Studio" before.
"Today, we worked on an exciting task — assembling spiral modules. There were some challenges, but we managed to overcome them. I study in an architecture and art class, and one of my hobbies is drawing. I would love to pursue a creative profession," said school student Daria Varlamova.
Participation in the masterclasses as part of the "Birth of Scale" exposition is free of charge, but prior registration is required on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA: russia.ru.
The partners of the "The Birth of Scale" exposition include DOM.RF, the Ministry of Construction of Russia, Gazprom, the A. V. Participants of the children's workshop "Supermassive Object" at the National Centre RUSSIA created a large-scale model of the house of the future.
