Universal Mind and Space Film Festival: how the Kaluga region will surprise you
Regional expositions at the RUSSIA EXPO are not only an
opportunity to see our country in all its glory, but also to find out what
interesting things are happening in its many different corners. For example,
the Kaluga region is now announcing its International Film Festival of films
and programs about space "Tsiolkovsky", which starts on April 12.
Many people associate the Kaluga region with space. After
all, Russian cosmonautics was born here. So it is not surprising that guests
are greeted by a photo zone with a cosmonaut. And it is also an invitation to
visit the local festival "Tsiolkovsky", which brings together
feature, documentary and animated films devoted to space. The festival program
also includes performances, meetings with filmmakers and cosmonauts,
masterclasses and lectures.
And you can learn more about how our compatriots explored
space in Kaluga: at the K.E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of
Cosmonautics. Among its main exhibits is the Vostok carrier rocket — it is a
backup rocket for Gagarin's flight. In April 1961 on the Baikonur launch pad,
it was ready for flight in case of emergency.
The main place on the stand of the region in Pavilion No. 75
is occupied by a technological copy of the famous art object "Universal
Mind". By the way, it is also connected with space. After all, it
expresses the key idea of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, the founder of cosmonautics,
that there is nothing more powerful than the human mind.
You can see the original "Universal Mind" in the
Nikola-Lenivets art park. The park is one of the main points of attraction for
tourists from all over the country. All thanks to the combination of
picturesque nature and amazing art objects, many of which amaze with their
scale and originality of the idea.
Inside the "Universal Mind" at the stand of the
region there are several interactive zones, which tell about the main
achievements of the region for the last six years. These include unique medical
technologies, modern digital developments, as well as successes in tourism and
business development.
One of the tracks of the Open Dialogue is "Investments in Human Capital." The pitch session on this topic brought together over 30 speakers.
One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world.
The pitch sessions on four tracks took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on April 28, with the participation of authors whose essays were selected by the expert council of the National Centre.
