At the exposition "Region 2030. Platform of the Future" in the National Centre RUSSIA, the Voronezh region is represented by the stand "From the primitive fire to peaceful atom". Its central feature is a multimedia "river" symbolising the many rivers of the Voronezh region, such as the Don and the Voronezh, on whose shipyards more than 200 vessels of various types were built between 1696 and 1711 for the emerging Russian Navy.
In the peaceful atom zone, visitors can learn about the region’s achievements in nuclear energy, the production of liquid-fuel rocket engines for space launch vehicles and intercontinental ballistic missiles, as well as the fact that at the Voronezh aviation plant the legendary Board No. 1 (Il-96), the aircraft of the President of Russia, is manufactured and serviced. The future projects zone features models of Petrovsky Island and the Metrobus.
