Let’s celebrate the Old New Year together! Places to visit at the RUSSIA EXPO on January 13 and 14
The International RUSSIA EXPO invites you to celebrate the Old New Year and spend a good time. On January 13 and 14 there will be concerts and exciting performances for the whole family.
Concert program Breath of the Old New Year
On the Day of the Voronezh Region, Pavilion No. 75 will host a concert program of the region’s leading creative teams accompanied by the symphony orchestra of the Voronezh Concert Hall.
A series of masterclasses from the Movement of the First
Children together with their parents will be able to make their own candlesticks, lamps, decorate wooden toys at the masterclasses Decor of Wooden Reindeer, New Year’s Interior Month, Light in a Jar.
Concert Old New Year Lipetsk-style
On the Day of the Lipetsk Region at the RUSSIA EXPO the Main Street Stage will host performances of Romanov Ded Moroz, vocal group of the dance theater Cossacks of Russia, folk dance ensemble Razdolie named after V. Shelyakin, Russian song ensemble Rossiyanka named after M. and A. Uvarovs, folk song ensemble Zen named after V. Vladimirova, drummers' ensemble Katyusha, circus art studio NIKA and others.
Ded Morozes Parade
The parade is headed by an orchestra led by a herald — conductor, who manages the parade pattern. Russian Ded Moroz and Snegurochka also take part in the parade, and they are joined by Ded Morozes from the regions, who travel all over Russia with suitcases on wheels. Each Grandfather Frost’s suitcase is decorated in the style of the region he represents. The parade is accompanied by music that makes all the participants dance to its beat.
Ded Moroz Invasion at VDNH
A group of ten Ded Morozes participating in the annual All-Russian festival Ded Moroz Invasion from Rybinsk accompanied by ten Snegurochkas will be cruising in Pavilion No. 75, creating a mood among visitors and informing about the events of the Day of the Yaroslavl Region.
New Year interactive performance for children Ministry of Ded Moroz
Ministry of Ded Moroz is an interactive performance for the whole family. The traditional New Year performance will allow little participants to sing and dance, unite in teams at competitions, find new friends, acquaintances and like-minded people. Defeat evil forces and have wholesome fun. The cautionary tale is surrounded by unusual decorations and special effects.
Russian Winter Festival
The traditional festival Russian Winter awaits all those wishing to greet winter in the best national traditions and images of Russian fairy tales, which will emphasize the unity of the peoples of Russia. At the exposition site adults and children will be able to immerse themselves into the festive atmosphere and fulfill the most incredible dreams, for example, to ride on a real Russian stove.
Ilya Averbukh’s New Year show The Nutcracker and the Mouse King
Ilya Averbukh’s legendary New Year show The Nutcracker and the Mouse King will be held at the RUSSIA EXPO. Many children and adults know and love the fairy tale, which is an inseparable part of the New Year’s vacations. Now its plot can be seen in the performance of figure skating stars, aerial gymnasts, dexterous acrobats and the best vocalists performing instrumental parts of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet.
Farmers Fair
Each region has its own special taste! Guests of the RUSSIA EXPO are invited to get acquainted with the gastronomic culture of small villages and big cities of our country at the Farmers Fair. Here you can taste and buy an incredible variety of cheeses and dairy products, sausages and smoked meat delicacies, berry drinks, juices, lemonades, fruit purees and jams, raw oils, freshly baked bread and gingerbread. A light show awaits the guests after the end of the fair program.
The RUSSIA EXPO is open from Tuesday to Sunday, Monday is a technical day. The most convenient time to visit the expositions is in the mornings and weekdays, but on weekends the exposition is open to everyone too. The expositions of 89 regions of Russia, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. All expositions and events are free of charge.
The National Centre RUSSIA will host a series of presentations titled "Journey Across Russia's Gastronomic Festivals."
