Graduates of the first cohort of the "Young Tour Guides School of Russia" in Primorye received certificates
Young students of the first cohort of the "Young Tour
Guides School of Russia" completed their training on 20 December and
received their well-earned certificates. As a final assessment, the
participants conducted guided tours of the exposition at the National Centre
RUSSIA in Primorye for their parents, instructors, and the Minister of Tourism
of the region, Natalia Naboychenko.
"You have learned to control yourselves, present
information in an engaging way, and are ready to share your knowledge with
others. You have successfully passed this stage, and the knowledge you gained
here will certainly be useful to you in the future," Natalia Naboychenko
noted as she addressed the graduates.
The certificates received will enable the participants to
continue exploring the profession in the future, for example, as assistant tour
guides at the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye or during city tours.
"Although this year the 'Young Tour Guides School of
Russia' has closed its doors, it has opened an entire universe of knowledge
about our home region for the students. Every interesting historical fact about
Primorye, every well-known figure or natural site has now begun to speak to
them in its own voice. We sincerely hope to hear the clear voices of our first
graduates again within the walls of the Centre — this time as established tour
guides," said Darya Guseva, Head of the Excursion contour of the National
Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region.
Classes for the first cohort of the School began on 27
September at the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye. Over the course of three
months, the young students developed public speaking skills, learned how to
hold an audience’s attention, created the "Tiger Quest", and gained
in-depth knowledge about their home region.
The "Young Tour Guides School of Russia" is a
project for school students aged 12 to 17, aimed at developing career

is free of charge. Classes are conducted by tour guides of the National Centre
RUSSIA in the Primorye region and members of the regional branch of the Russian
Geographical Society.
Classes for the second cohort of the School will begin in
February 2026. Applications will open in January.
Since September this year, more than two thousand guided
tours have been held at the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region,
attracting over 25,000 visitors.
