Exposition "Journey Across Russia" ready to amaze again
Expositions, much like people, sometimes need a chance to rest, catch their breath, refresh themselves, and return to their routine brighter, fresher, and more ready than ever to welcome both old and new friends. From 8 to 22 June, "Journey Across Russia" — the permanent display of the National Centre RUSSIA — took a maintenance "vacation", and on Tuesday, 23 June, it reopened its doors to visitors.
During the two-week break, specialists of the National Centre RUSSIA carried out extensive maintenance work: updating multimedia and interactive equipment, calibrating touchscreens, checking lighting and sound systems, thoroughly inspecting all exposition installations, and refreshing selected areas. All of this was done to ensure that visitors continue to enjoy a comfortable, inspiring, safe, and technologically advanced experience while exploring the exposition.
"Journey Across Russia" is more than just an exposition — it is a true journey through the country's eight federal districts. Visitors can discover what residents of Kaliningrad and Vladivostok are proud of, learn how the Arctic, the Caucasus, the Urals, and Siberia live and develop, explore today's major projects, and gain insight into traditions, culture, and crafts that have been preserved for centuries.
The exposition seamlessly combines authentic artefacts, cutting-edge digital installations, architectural models, maps, photographs, and much more. Interactive zones are especially popular among visitors of all ages. Here, guests can do more than simply observe exhibits, they can use them to create travel routes, "influence" the climate, listen to birdsong, experience the scents of the taiga and wildflower meadows, ring bells, and even design their own sculptures and examples of traditional folk crafts.
The "Journey Across Russia" exposition is open daily except Mondays, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free as part of a guided tour group. Visitors can join a tour either by registering in advance on the National Centre RUSSIA website russia.ru or directly at the exposition entrance.
