The RUSSIA EXPO leads in the public voting for the "Crystal Compass" award
The International RUSSIA EXPO is among the nominees for the national "Crystal Compass" award and is currently leading in the preliminary results of the public online voting. The award, established in 2012 by the Russian Geographical Society with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, is presented for outstanding achievements in the fields of national geography and ecology, as well as for the preservation and promotion of natural and historical-cultural legacy.
The national "Crystal Compass" award is non-commercial and represents one of the highest forms of public recognition. The main idea of the initiative is reflected in its name: the compass symbolizes a true course, while crystal represents natural purity and faithfulness to a dream.
Throughout the history of the award, nearly 5,000 projects from all regions of Russia and 51 countries around the world have been submitted. These include public organizations, scientific and educational institutions, creative unions, enterprises from various sectors, as well as independent initiative groups and public figures. The award is presented annually on a competitive basis, with winners selected in 11 categories. In 2025, the award will be given for projects and achievements implemented in 2024.
From April 1 to April 30, online voting is being held on the award's website. The project that receives the highest number of votes will become the winner in the "Public Recognition" category. The official award ceremony will take place in May 2025.
The International RUSSIA EXPO was held from November 4, 2023, to July 8, 2024. To preserve the legacy of the Exposition and to showcase the country's achievements on a permanent basis, the National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the country, Vladimir Putin.
