"Climb your own spiritual Everest": Fyodor Konyukhov leaves a message at the National Centre RUSSIA
To mark the launch of the Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future: Geography", a special installation "Map of 100
Years" has been created at the National Centre RUSSIA, where anyone can
leave their vision for the next century and become a co-author of a shared
picture of the future. Renowned traveller and member of the Russian
Geographical Society Fyodor Konyukhov has left his message.
"I wish you to climb your own spiritual Everest — 8,848 m. Fyodor Konyukhov," the traveller wrote.
The idea behind the "Map of 100 Years" is creation
and positivity. Participants are shaping a vision of the future in which the
environment has been restored, new worlds have been explored, and humanity has
found harmony with itself and the surrounding world. There are no limits: even
the shortest idea or a simple sketch can become part of a larger picture. The
atmosphere is enhanced by the captivating sounds of Hanghang and space-inspired
electric guitar melodies.
Fyodor Konyukhov will take part in the Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future: Geography" at the National Centre RUSSIA, where experts will discuss the transformation of science — from the discovery of new territories to travel as a tool for self-discovery. The discussion will also focus on which places on the map may become catalysts for personal change. Livestreams will be available on russia.ru in the "Livestreams and Videos" section.
The Open Lecture Hall "Inventing the Future:
Geography" is an original project of the National Centre RUSSIA. The
programme includes thematic lectures, meetings with experts in geography,
space, and environmental studies, as well as interactive formats — all designed
to offer a new perspective on the role of geography in shaping the future.
