Hits of the Gastronomic Rows at the National Centre RUSSIA: syrniki
An important part of the exposition "Journey Across Russia" at the National Centre RUSSIA is the Gastronomic Rows, which are divided into four thematic zones: South, North, West, and East. They introduce visitors to the culinary traditions of the country's regions. In the morning hours of the Gastronomic Rows' operation, guests of the National Centre RUSSIA are invited to a Russian breakfast. Here, they can try syrniki (cottage cheese fritters) — one of Russia’s traditional dishes.
Among the dishes on the menu in the "West" thematic zone are delicate cottage cheese syrniki with a golden crust and powdered sugar. Three appetizing sweet patties are served with thick sour cream and amber-colored jam, complemented by apricot halves.
Another variation of this popular dish is offered in the "North" gastronomic zone — syrniki with whipped sour cream, garnished with dried cherries.
"Syrniki may not seem surprising today, but finding a truly delicious and high-quality version is quite difficult, both in restaurants and among store-bought ready-made products. Here, I was delighted by the perfect balance of ingredients and the unique presentation," noted Yulia Panina, a guest of the "North" gastronomic space.
The Gastronomic Rows at the National Centre RUSSIA are open every day except Monday, from 10:00 to 21:00. Guests can taste dishes from the country's diverse national cuisines.
