The Sretensky Monastery Choir performed songs of the Great Victory
On May 10, the Sretensky Monastery Choir performed on the Main Stage, singing songs dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The artistic director and conductor was Andrei Poltorukhin.
The main purpose of the concert, which was held with the support of Rosneft, is to preserve the memory of the heroic events of the Great Patriotic War. Musical works are presented along with the best patriotic songs created in the post-war period. Music and poetry of the war years, which not only do not lose their relevance with the passage of time, but also acquire new meanings, are presented as eternally living testimonies of the feat of those who fought at the front and brought the Victory closer in the rear.
The Sretensky Monastery Choir is one of the most famous church choirs in Russia. Its members are professional musicians with beautiful voices and a deep understanding of Russian spiritual music. At the end of March, the Sretensky Monastery Choir presented a new musical program "Songs of Our Parents" at the Rosneft pavilion. The Choir's tour program includes 16 Russian cities. As part of this tour, songs of the older generation are performed, which depict important milestones in the country's history.
During the all-Russian survey "What does the Motherland begin with?", people across the country are answering this question in their own way, opening up the innermost corners of their souls.
Souvenir nevalyashkas (traditional Russian roly-poly dolls), are attracting particular attention, with guests choosing them for their harmonious combination of Russian colour and traditional Chinese symbols.
Under the guidance of artisans, each guest made an unusual souvenir that can become either a personal talisman or a gift with a special story.
