A two-day working meeting with vice-rectors for youth policy and educational activities "Key Vectors and Tasks for the 2025–2026 Academic Year" is being held at the National Centre RUSSIA. The meeting is organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. This is the second time the event has been held, but for the first time the National Centre RUSSIA has hosted the vice-rectors’ meeting.

According to Denis Obukhovsky, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy of NSUEM and member of the Presidium of the Council of Vice-Rectors of the Russian Federation under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, such large-scale gatherings, like the "Key Vectors and Tasks for the 2025–2026 Academic Year" meeting, are an essential element of informal communication among specialists from different regions.

"This is the most important infrastructure for sharing experience and new knowledge. Vice-rectors change regularly: some are more experienced, some are young. And through connections at the level of Russia and the districts, professional enrichment takes place, a shake-up for joint work. Without this, modern work with young people is impossible. Just as young people unite in communities, so we must also work in communities," said Denis Obukhovsky.

Denis Obukhovsky also noted the role of the National Centre RUSSIA. Unlike the universities that had previously hosted such meetings, the Centre impressed the participants with its scale and high level of organisation, the vice-rector emphasised.

Natalia Khenkina, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Strategic Communications of USTU, also shared her impressions of the event and its significance.

"Such meetings are extremely important not only because we met colleagues from other universities and partners, but also because we had the opportunity to understand, see, hear and share the experience that has already been accumulated, as well as to identify the tasks that we must aim to address in the new academic year. I express my deep gratitude to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for organising this wonderful event — it truly has great significance. Very soon students will once again run through the corridors, and that is why it is so important for us to understand what we should strive for and what has already been achieved by other universities," said Natalia Khenkina.

The university representative also shared her feelings about working in the space of the National Centre RUSSIA.

"The National Centre RUSSIA is a wonderful space. There is a special atmosphere here; this is not my first time here, and besides the convenient infrastructure and the spirit of patriotism, the most important thing is that here we gather, see, hear and share the experience that gives us new inspiration for the upcoming academic year," added the vice-rector.

More than 600 people took part in the event. This year the meeting is dedicated to updating the tasks in youth policy and educational activities in universities for the new academic year in the context of the implementation of Presidential Decree of the Russian Federation No. 309 "On the national development goals of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 and for the future up to 2036".
