On May 16, the All-Russian Wedding Festival, as well as cultural, educational and sporting events will continue at the International RUSSIA EXPO.

Work out with the champion

A sports session will be held by hobbyhorse champion Vasilisa Shmakova.

VIII Open Moscow Festival of Equestrian Art and Sport

Guests will be able to watch pony dressage competitions. Pony riders will show their skills in the art of horse control.

Hobbyhorsing master class and tournament

Everyone will be able to pass the route of various obstacles and feel like a real hobbyhorser. There will also be a tournament, the program of which includes a contest, overcoming obstacles in a time limit.

Open Day ofuniversities of the Southern Federal District and North Caucasus FederalDistrict

During the Open Day, participants will be able to learn about study programs, admission conditions, and employment prospects after graduation. University representatives will tell about scientific research, international relations, student life and other aspects of the educational process.

Express Karelian language courses "Karelian in Five Minutes"

Karelians are a people living not only on the territory of the Republic of Karelia, but also in the Tver, Leningrad, Murmansk regions, as well as in other regions of our country. For many centuries Karelians have lived in harmony with nature in the most beautiful lands of majestic forests, swift rivers and clear lakes.

It is largely due to this that the Karelian language is now one of the most melodious languages in the world. Besides, the Karelian language is a source of ancient wisdom of the people — it is filled with allegories and figurative expressions.

 Visitors to the Exposition will hear the sound of the Karelian language and learn simple phrases in Karelian. Colorful booklets "Karelian in Five Minutes" will be provided to help participants.

Table-installation "Mari El"

The program includes a musical and ritual performance by artists of the Mountain Mari Theatre, a culinary masterclass and tasting from chefs from Mari El. As part of the gastronomic performance, chefs will prepare Mari multilayer pancakes "Koman Melna" and Mari podkogols.

Wedding procession of couples and creative groups of the Volga Federal District with a theatrical performance "Bachelor Party". Wedding ceremony of couples from the Volga Federal District

Newlyweds from the regions of the Volga Federal District will take part in the wedding procession. Along the whole route they will be accompanied by creative groups, circus artists and musicians. The theme of the fifth day of the festival will be the traditions of celebrating "Bachelor Party".

The groom's feast with his bachelor peers is a farewell to the bachelor life, "free will", exit from the community of unmarried peers. Traditionally, friends dance a final bachelor dance with the groom in a circle. The traditions of the bachelor party will be presented to Exposition guests in a modern interpretation.

Afterwards, a marriage registration ceremony will take place on the Main Street Stage. Couples will take home a piece of the fire of the All-Russian Family Hearth, which was lit at the RUSSIA EXPO in honor of the announcement of the Year of the Family.

Concert program of the All-Russian Wedding Festival with the participation of creative groups of the Volga Federal District

The regions of the Volga Federal District will perform musical and choreographic numbers on the wedding theme in front of the newlyweds and guests of the festival: the artists of the Perm region will show a composition from the wedding ritual of the Komi-Permyak people, the Republic of Mordovia will present vocal numbers, and performers from the Chuvash Republic will sing songs in the national language. The "Kirill and Marya Show" collective from the Samara region will perform a song. 

On the Main Street Stage, the folklore group "Auaz" and folk dance ensemble "Amanat" from the Republic of Bashkortostan will perform. The artists will show the composition “Meeting of Matchmaking Guests” and perform the dance "Zarifa". The Republic of Mari El will be represented by artists of the state dance ensemble "Mari El" with several dance numbers. The Penza region will be represented by the folk song ensemble “Slavs” with the composition "Wifey".

The Orenburg region will be represented by the ensemble "Razdolie" with vocal and choreographic compositions, and the Saratov region will perform the dance song “Varenka”. The Republic of Tatarstan will be represented by the song and dance ensemble "Agidel".

Masterclasses on wedding makeup and hairstyling

The host of the masterclass will demonstrate the latest trends of wedding makeup and hairstyles in ethno-stylistics on a guest model. The feature of the masterclass is an online camera that broadcasts all the work of the master on the main screen of the booth.

Musicalperformance "Gȍtrasny dak gȍtrasny" ("If you get married, get married in a big way!")

The musical performance is a story about a traditional wedding of Komi-Permyaks (Permian Komi). The audience will get acquainted with the stages of the Komi-Permyak wedding, game and dance culture of the Komi-Permyaks, will hear traditional Komi-Permyak songs. The culminating moment of the rite is the performance of the lament - the wailing of the bride's girl "Loktӧ loktӧ že, modzyankaez".

Immersive performance "Wedding"

The interactive performance is based on wedding traditions of the Vologda, Tomsk, Belgorod and Novosibirsk regions.

The characters are young couples who have just registered their marriage or got engaged and want to experience how young people used to get married.

During the performance, the couple are the main characters and the audience become relatives from the side of the newlyweds and are also included in the ritual.

Concert-TV premiere "Chaliapin and Rachmaninoff in Kislovodsk"

Premiere of the documentary film "Chaliapin and Rachmaninoff in Kislovodsk" accompanied by a concert program featuring famous and emerging musicians.

The concert program will feature works by M.I. Glinka, P.I. Tchaikovsky, S.V. Rachmaninoff, A. Alyabyev performed by Irina Khruleva, soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, Pavel Gladyshev and Katarina Yablanovich, laureates of all-Russian and international competitions, accompanied by the famous concert pianist Pavel Nebolsin.

The concert will also be attended by the Oksana Fedorova Foundation wards - winners of the International Competition for Young Musicians “My Russia: A Musical Journey” Victor Skorobrodov and Peter Berdnikov.

Master class in traditional singing

The basics of singing, working with the vocal apparatus, the development of harmonious sound of vocalists in a group. But to sing beautifully, and even in an ensemble, you need to understand the basics of how the sound is produced, how we breathe, how you can pump up your skills. This will be talked about, and practiced in the first part of the meeting.

Farmers Fair

The Farmers Fair in Pavilion No. 48 invites you to be amazed by the variety and richness of tastes. Cheeses, sausages, delicacies, Siberian berry jam, chocolate-covered cones, black and red caviar from all regions of the country are presented here. You can comfortably get to our Fair by route No. K, which departs from Pavilion No. 75, as well as from the stop "Northern Loop", located at the arch of the Main Entrance of VDNH. Pavilion No. 48 is within walking distance from the "City Farm" stop.
