Meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation of the IX Russian Labour Safety Week
The IX Russian Labour Safety Week will be held from 10 to 13
September 2024 in the Sirius Park of Science and Art on the Sirius Federal
Territory. This decision was made at the meeting of the organizing committee
for the preparation and holding in 2024 of the IX Russian Labour Safety Week
(VNOT-2024), which was held by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation
Tatyana Golikova. The event was held in the Home of Youth at the RUSSIA EXPO.
The organizing committee was also attended by
representatives of the Russian Presidential Executive Office, the Russian
Government, federal and regional ministries and agencies, the Roscongress
Foundation, as well as the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia
(FNPR) and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).
"Preserving the health of employees at work is a key
factor in achieving the main national goal of increasing life expectancy set by
the President. In recent years, we have formed a stable legislative framework
that allows us to organize systematic work on risk management, both at the
state level and directly at work. The volume of allocations for preventive
measures in the field of labour protection is steadily increasing. In 2023,
about 20.9 billion rubles were allocated for these purposes in the federal
budget, and 28.7 billion rubles, 33.7 billion rubles and 39.9 billion rubles
are planned for 2024-2026, respectively," said Tatyana Golikova, Deputy
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Organizing
Committee for the VNOT.
The main strategic theme of the VNOT 2024 business program
will be the formation of a safe work culture.
"In his Address, the President named the personnel
issue as one of the two key risks that can play a decisive role in increasing
the rate of economic growth and development in general. The answer to this
challenge is in building a comprehensive human resources policy. The Russian Labour
Safety Week will be one of the key platforms for sharing experience and
developing solutions in human resources policy. Personnel saving in the
broadest sense of the word should become a unifying direction of the movement
of social partners - the state, business, trade unions," stressed the Head
of the Ministry of Labour Anton Kotyakov.
Traditionally, the Youth Day with the participation of HR
specialists from the largest enterprises will be held within the framework of
VNOT-2024, and the results of the professional skills competition in the field
of social services will be summarized. The satellite events of VNOT-2024 will
be held in April in Rostov-on-Don and in July in Vladivostok.
In addition, an extensive international program is planned
for VNOT-2024. On the occasion of Russia's BRICS chairmanship, a meeting of
BRICS labour and employment ministers will be held in Sochi. A meeting of the
Advisory Council on Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Population
of the Commonwealth of Independent States will also be held on the VNOT
margins.
"On the opening day of the Russian Labour Safety Week
we will hold a special tour for the BRICS Ministers of Labour and demonstrate
the display exposition of the VNOT-2024. In this way, the participants of
VNOT-2024 will have an opportunity to show their achievements at the
international level. In addition, taking into account the close intersection of
the labour markets of our countries, we plan to discuss the development of
common approaches in the field of labour protection in the course of joint work
with colleagues from the Commonwealth of Independent States," said Anton
Kotyakov.
It should be reminded that the Russian Labour Safety Week is
organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian
Federation and operated by the Roscongress Foundation. Last year VNOT was held
from 26 to 29 September in the Sirius Science and Art Park on the Sirius
Federal Territory. The official website of VNOT: http://rusafetyweek.com
The key theme of the plenary session in 2023 was the
digitalization of occupational safety and health. Traditionally, conferences,
roundtables, all-Russian industry seminars and international meetings were held
at the VNOT. In 2023, VNOT brought together more than 8,000 participants from
all regions of the Russian Federation, representatives of 30 countries and more
than 200 companies, as well as 11 federal government agencies.
