"Everyone will find something interesting here": Mikhail Mishustin opened the Days of the Russian Economy at the RUSSIA EXPO
In the
first 11 months of last year, the gross domestic product grew by 3.3%, while
the manufacturing industry grew by 7.5%. Such figures were announced by Mikhail
Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, at the opening
of the Days of Russian Economy forum at the RUSSIA EXPO
According
to Mikhail Mishustin, such results were achieved thanks to the implementation
of the President's instructions, well-coordinated work of the Government,
including the achievement of national goals, implementation of strategic
initiatives and state programs.
"Positive
changes are visible in every sector. We have managed to level external risks,
to put the economy on the trajectory of sustainable growth", - Prime
Minister said.
In his
speech, Mikhail Mishustin paid special attention to improving financial
literacy of the population. The Prime Minister said that more than 135 thousand
teachers have been trained on this topic, relevant general education programs
and educational and methodological base have been developed, Olympiads are
held.
"In
six years, all Russian schoolchildren and college students will have to possess
basic knowledge that will help to understand how the financial market is
structured - its essence, features, risks, and to form the ability to minimize
them. With the help of the fundamentals of financial literacy, people will be
able to make informed decisions, properly prepare their own budget and,
consequently, achieve their own and family goals, as well as freely use modern
services and technologies, ignoring, let's say, the tricks of scammers. They
also have to know what public finance is in general, and how to participate in
planning expenditures in their region. To understand how the economy as a whole
works. The development of our country depends on it", - emphasized the
Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Mikhail Mishustin
also noted the quality of organization of the exposition and a significant
amount of positive feedback from visitors.
"It is important that the exposition not only allows people to see and discuss what has been done in various areas, but that it is also a very lively event by itself - with interactive, entertaining events, involving visitors in communication. Just a couple of days ago, the marathon of the Days of Regions ended here. The guests had a unique opportunity to learn about scientific discoveries, culture and traditions of the whole country - from the Far East to Kaliningrad. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my colleagues from the Russian regions - for a real holiday for visitors to the exposition! I heard this from a huge number of people who were here", - Prime Minister noted.
Apart from the forum dedicated to finances, the exposition will host other events - Days of Industry, Agriculture, Health, Ecology, Culture, Sports, Tourism and other areas. And everyone will find here something of interest - from youth policy, labor market to digital economy and issues of active longevity, listed the head of the Cabinet. He is convinced that this approach will interest both those who have already visited the exposition and those who are just going to visit VDNH.
