Green economy, city within a city and king sterlet: Saratov region surprised the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO
The business program of the Region Day at VDNH began with the presentation of the "green economy", the "City within a City" project - the development of the old airport in Saratov, and the "Stolypin Industrial Park".
The achievements of the Saratov region were presented by Governor Roman Busargin.
"Our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin through his national projects gave every region an opportunity to become more modern, more comfortable, to drastically improve the quality of life of people. And today at the Exposition we are once again convinced that our country is strong and powerful. The Saratov region is no exception. Today it is a major industrial, agrarian and cultural center", — said Roman Busargin.
The lecture "Gagarin's (Space) Saratov" talked about the role of the region in the exploration of space, and at the interactive "Agricultural genetics - a danger or a way to feed the world" the participants of the Exposition were introduced to the scientific developments of Vavilov University.
The guests were also able to communicate with famous natives of the Saratov region: author-singer Denis Maidanov and artistic director of the State Theater of Nations Evgeny Mironov.
One of the main decorations of the day is the traditional wedding ceremony. It includes the bride's gathering to the crown, and the Saratov-style bride price, and the blessing on a turned sheepskin.
In the pavilion of the House of Russian Cuisine famous Saratov chefs will present traditional dishes of the region: sterlet baked royal style, Saratov pike cutlets, pike-perch dumpling with crawfish necks stuffing. The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place.
The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024.
The event included a presentation of the original futurological novel "Alternative".
Employees and volunteers of the National Centre RUSSIA joined the official launch ceremony of the nationwide campaign "Memory Wall", which was held at the National Centre RUSSIA this year.
