Kozhlya whistle toy

Clay whistle toys are made using the method invented by the craftsmen of the village of Kozhlya in the Kursk region. Whistles are molded from a single piece of clay in the shape of animals or people — barynyas (ladies), horsemen, couples. The finished product is not whitened, but retains the delicate pink color acquired after firing. He toys are painted with stripes, meshes, spots of bright colors.
