18 million guests visited the RUSSIA EXPO
The
International RUSSIA EXPO welcomed its 18-millionth visitor on July 4. It was
12-year-old Elizaveta Savina, who came to the Exposition from Vladimir together
with her family: her parents Alexei and Ksenia, as well as her 7-year-old
brother Makar.
"We
came to the Exposition for the first time. We decided to visit it because the
closing is soon - we wanted to be there in time. For us, the fact that we
became the anniversary visitors was a big surprise. But we joked about it among
ourselves - and it really happened," said Alexei Savin.
The guests
received gifts from the RUSSIA EXPO and the Government of the Omsk region. In a
solemn atmosphere they were given a certificate for a three-day trip to the
Omsk region.
"There
are exactly five days left until the closing of the Exposition. The flow of
visitors is growing. I want to say a huge thank you to all our guests for their
attention and love. And a big thank you to our regions that help organize gifts
for our special anniversary guests. Today, it is the Omsk region," said
Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the RUSSIA EXPO.
As part of
the trip, the family will attend several excursions to see Omsk's historical
sites and architectural masterpieces, including the Cathedral of the Assumption
of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The 18-millionth guest will also learn about the
role of the imperial family in the establishment and development of the
railroad. The trip will end with a visit to the M. A. Vrubel Omsk Regional
Museum of Fine Arts and a tour of the most modern arena in Russia and Europe -
G-Drive Arena. In addition, a visit to the first beyond the Urals
representation of the state Hermitage - "Hermitage - Siberia" - will
be organized for the family.
"Three
days of a very intense program are waiting for you. We have the most modern
hockey arena, the coolest amusement park - the largest Ferris wheel in the
Urals. There is a branch of the Hermitage in the region. We are very much
looking forward to your visit," Ivan Kolesnik, Minister of Sport of the
Omsk region, addressed the milestone guests.
On June 26,
the International RUSSIA EXPO welcomed the 17-millionth visitor. He was Yegor
Morozov, who came to the Exposition from Volgograd together with his wife Olga
and two children: six-year-old Andrei and nine-year-old Ivan. The guests
received gifts from the RUSSIA EXPO and the Government of Nizhny Novgorod
region. In a solemn atmosphere they were presented with a certificate for a
three-day trip to Nizhny Novgorod region organized by the ANO "Hospitality
Agency of Nizhny Novgorod Region".
On June 15,
the RUSSIA EXPO was visited by its sixteen-millionth guest. It was
seven-year-old Elizaveta from Moscow. She came to the Exposition together with
her eleven-year-old brother Roman and her mother Natalia Yelshina. Elizaveta
was congratulated at the stand of the Samara region and was presented with a
certificate for a family trip to this region.
The
fifteen-millionth visitor to the Exposition, Natalia Korneeva from Yalta, was
welcomed on June 5. The anniversary visitor was congratulated at the stand of
North Ossetia-Alania. She was presented with a certificate for a family trip to
the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, where this year three significant dates
are celebrated at once: the 100th anniversary of the Republic's formation, the
250th anniversary of Ossetia's joining Russia and the 240th anniversary of the
city of Vladikavkaz.
More than one hundred representatives from 48 countries gathered in Moscow, at the National Centre RUSSIA, for the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World.
Young tour guides participated in another session of the School of Young Tour Guides.
On April 27, a children's workshop titled "Sugar City" was held in the art class of the architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale" at the National Centre RUSSIA.
