The final stage of the "MediaAttraction" project began at the National Centre RUSSIA
On 14 August, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the first day of the two-day final programme of the all-Russian educational project for future media professionals, "MediaAttraction". Implemented by the Movement of the First with the support of the national project "Youth and Children", the project has brought together over 1,000 finalists from all regions of Russia — school students, university students, teachers and family teams who passed a multi-stage selection process.
About the Project
"MediaAttraction" has served as a platform for the development of the country’s youth media community for four years. The project covers seven professional areas — from journalism (FirstText) and video production (FirstAir) to mentoring (MediaProfi) and family content creation (MediaFamily). Participants not only acquire skills under the guidance of experts, but also gain unique internship opportunities in leading media holdings, including Rossiya Segodnya and Soyuzmultfilm.
Within the project, children and adults create unique content that shapes the image of Russia’s vast information space. While aimed at different audiences, the work of young participants increasingly reflects a shared set of values: love for the Motherland, creativity, and self-development.
"We are in a unique place — the National Centre RUSSIA. Here, our young people are taking part in the flagship project 'MediaAttraction'. Today they have the opportunity to meet each other, share ideas, take part in workshops and excursions. Live dialogue helps us understand what really interests young people and what opportunities are open to them. This is a great initiative — the project has been running for three years and continues to grow," emphasised Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the First, Artur Orlov.
Day One Programme
On 14 August, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted "Class Meetings" with Heroes of the Russian Federation — participants of the presidential programme "Time of Heroes". Young media specialists were able to speak directly with veterans of the special military operation and ask them questions.
Nikolai Sokolov, a participant in the "Time of Heroes" programme, shared his impressions of the meeting with young people:
"My impressions from the meeting are extremely positive. Such opportunities allow children — who are already progressive young adults — to promote important initiatives on which the future of the country depends. Today’s children have flexible minds, and it is important for us to listen to them," said Nikolai Sokolov.
Through projects like this, Russia nurtures a new generation of media professionals capable of effectively countering fake news and propaganda, ensuring the country’s information security. The content created by the new generation of young media specialists is distributed across various internet segments in other countries. In this way, Russia is shaped as a country of talent, ideas, and limitless opportunities.
Captain Ilya Sponyakov added that open dialogue with young people helps foster connections between generations:
"We must not lose touch with the younger generation. This is about passing on experience, knowledge and a worldview. And people respond," said Ilya Sponyakov.
On 15 August, the Movement of the First at the National Centre RUSSIA will host a series of workshops and meetings with public opinion leaders, as well as a formal awards ceremony where the winners of the project in seven categories will be announced.
The winners will receive cash prizes and gifts from the project’s partners. The closing ceremony will feature performances by popular artists: Tatyana Bulanova, the band PIZZA, NANSI & SIDOROV, and many others.
Partners of the all-Russian project "MediaAttraction" include Gazprom-Media Holding JSC, VK, ANO Dialogue, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, and others.
