25 reasons for pride: nuclear industry — Russia leads the world
The Russian nuclear industry is a synthesis of science, engineering excellence, and state will. It is the technology of the future, created by a self-assured country.
We continue our special project "25 Reasons for Pride," dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the first inauguration of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. It was from that moment that the country confidently entered an era of technological leadership and strategic decisions that set the course for decades to come.
Today, we are proud of Russia’s powerful, cutting-edge, and globally recognized nuclear industry.
Russia is the world leader in the number of nuclear power units being built abroad. Rosatom is constructing 22 large-capacity power units in 7 countries — from China and India to Egypt and Turkey. The world’s first export contract has been signed for the construction of a small nuclear power plant — 6 units in Uzbekistan.
Russian nuclear power units are the safest, most reliable, and highly efficient. Rosatom holds leading positions in the production of isotope products, the development of nuclear medicine, closed nuclear fuel cycle technologies, and small modular reactors.
Russia’s nuclear energy is also clean energy — a contribution to reducing emissions and combating climate threats.

During the all-Russian survey "What does the Motherland begin with?", people across the country are answering this question in their own way, opening up the innermost corners of their souls.
Souvenir nevalyashkas (traditional Russian roly-poly dolls), are attracting particular attention, with guests choosing them for their harmonious combination of Russian colour and traditional Chinese symbols.
Under the guidance of artisans, each guest made an unusual souvenir that can become either a personal talisman or a gift with a special story.
