Alexander Tsybulsky: "Megatrends of the future cannot be ignored"
The National Centre RUSSIA is the most appropriate venue for
discussing the megatrends shaping the future. This view was expressed by the
Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region, Alexander Tsybulsky, commenting on the
opening of the January Expert Dialogues, which were held at the venue on 30
January.
"At the January Expert Dialogues, we had the
opportunity to analyse the megatrends and the scenarios outlined by the Deputy
Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation,
Maxim Oreshkin. We can see that these challenges are manifesting themselves at
the level of the international, national and regional economy. These issues
cannot be ignored, and we are obliged to find solutions both for those who are
living today and for future generations. It is extremely important to understand
why particular decisions are being taken. It seems to me that it is precisely
through this kind of dialogue, from a legal, economic and governance
perspective, that it becomes possible to clearly identify the processes
associated with digitalisation, changes in the financial and global system, the
transformation of logistics routes, as well as demographic projects. All these
processes are absolutely scalable — to the level of a region, a country and
even a municipality," Alexander Tsybulsky said.
As part of the January Expert Dialogues, the Deputy Chief of
Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, Maxim
Oreshkin, presented five megatrends that define the trajectory of global
development for the coming decades. These are "A New Global Economic
Paradigm: Globalisation 2.0", "Platformisation of the Global Economy
and a New Level of Autonomy", "The Decline of Traditional
Finance", "Demographic Catastrophe After the Population Peak",
and "Human Transformation in a New Technological Era".
The January Expert Dialogues are part of the Open Dialogue
event cycle. The event was initiated by the National Centre RUSSIA in
partnership with the Centre for Cross-Industry Expertise "Third
Rome", with the support of the Presidential Executive Office of the
Russian Federation.
