The Head of the Republic of Karelia and the Yunarmiya signed a cooperation agreement at the National Centre RUSSIA
The Head of
the Republic of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov, and the Chief of the Main
Headquarters of the Yunarmiya (Young Army), Vladislav Golovin, signed a
cooperation agreement. The document formalises collaboration and provides for
the implementation of joint programmes in the field of patriotic education for
young people. The signing ceremony took place on 31 January at the National
Centre RUSSIA as part of the Days of the Republic of Karelia.
"The
Yunarmiya movement is of great importance for Karelia. Our young people work
with a strong sense of responsibility and genuine interest, and they live by
the ideas of the Yunarmiya. We are confident that the signing of this agreement
will allow us to further strengthen our work with young people in the area of
patriotic education. Many thanks for the support that the movement's Main
Headquarters provides to Karelia," said Artur Parfenchikov.
The
regional branch of the Yunarmiya has been operating in Karelia for ten years.
Three movement centres function as points of attraction for thousands of young
residents of the region. According to both parties, the signing of the
agreement will help reinforce the existing partnership. The Chief of the Main
Headquarters of the Yunarmiya, Vladislav Golovin, noted that the movement helps
instil stable value-based guidelines in its participants.
"Yunarmiya
members understand the importance of preserving our history, memory, culture
and the values of the state. Regardless of which profession they choose in the
future, they understand the importance of serving the Motherland,"
emphasised Vladislav Golovin.
The main
areas of cooperation under the agreement include the implementation of joint
educational programmes aimed at supporting and developing the Yunarmiya
movement; the organisation of events to promote a healthy lifestyle, the development
of physical culture and military-applied sports among children, adolescents and
young people; as well as the development of regional programmes for patriotic
education and the preparation of citizens for military service.
