Alexei Goreslavsky — speaking on the future of Russian internet content in the podcast "Russia Speaks"
How state support for internet content is organised today, what challenges the industry faces, and what the future of the Russian digital space might be. All these questions are covered in the New Year's, 12th in the row episode of the podcast "Russia Speaks". Its guest was Alexei Goreslavsky, Director General of the Internet Development Institute.
Among the topics of conversation was the emergence of systemic state support for the internet, which began to take shape about five years ago. Alexei Goreslavsky spoke about how it differs from support for film production and television; which formats receive funding — from film series and social networks to games, children's and youth content; and how competitive project selection mechanisms work.
The expert also touched upon the topics of popular genres, national heroes, competition between Russian platforms and foreign ones, and the future of content in the conditions of a "sovereign internet".
