Alexei Kozyrev invites visitors to the Literary Club meeting
The legacy of Russian thinkers is becoming increasingly relevant today. How their ideas help us better understand Russia, ourselves and the challenges of the modern world — will be discussed at the upcoming meeting of the Literary Club "What to Read?! Meanings". Alexei Kozyrev, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at Lomonosov Moscow State University, invites guests of the National Centre RUSSIA to join the discussion on key philosophical questions.
"Russian philosophy is part of world philosophy. But what distinguishes Russian philosophy from philosophy in Russia? Is it true that Russian philosophy is synonymous with Russian religious philosophy? Is there any other philosophy in Russia besides religious philosophy? We will discuss these and many other questions at our Literary Club meeting, 'What to Read?! Meanings'," said Alexei Kozyrev.
The experts will also explore the literary-centred nature of Russian philosophy and the legacy of such Russian classics as Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky and Anton Chekhov.
The Literary Club "What to Read?! Meanings" will take place at the National Centre RUSSIA on 30 July, from 19:00 to 20:30. The discussion will be moderated by Alexei Chesnakov, Head of the Academic Council of the Centre for Political Conjuncture, Professor at the Higher School of Economics and Candidate of Political Sciences.
