Baba Yaga: the "Morozko" performance is suitable for all ages
The "Morozko" performance is designed for audiences of all ages and will be engaging for children, grandparents, mothers, and fathers alike. This was stated at the National Centre RUSSIA by the country’s leading Baba Yaga, BY BABA YAGA.
"The 'Morozko' performance is for a broad audience: for children, for grandmothers, for aunts and uncles, for mums and dads. Children are not afraid of me — they adore me. How could anyone be afraid of such a beauty, of a kind grandmother? I am filled with love, kindness, and joy. I energise everyone with Russian folk spirit and my love. And the most important miracle in life — do you know what it is? It is love and mutual understanding in the family," said the artist and blogger.
Baba Yaga played one of the main roles in the New Year premiere of the "Morozko" performance at the National Centre RUSSIA. According to her, she portrays an evil Baba Yaga on stage, while in real life she is a kind character.
"Children are my friends, they adore me, recognise me in the street, and take photos with me. And I am also a singing Baba Yaga, so everyone knows my songs and sings along with pleasure. After all, I stand for kindness, love, and unity," she added.
The "Morozko" performance became the main New Year premiere of the National Centre RUSSIA and was presented for the first time on 27 December. The multi-genre production, based on the beloved Russian folk tale, brings together tradition and modernity, drawing on the classical structure of the magic fairy tale described by Vladimir Propp. "Morozko" tells a touching story about a family that has lost warmth and unity in the hustle of everyday life. Through the journey of the girl Nastenka into a fairy-tale world and the trials faced by her loved ones, the performance speaks about kindness, love, respect between generations, and the power of tradition, reminding audiences that a true miracle begins with care and understanding for those closest to us.
