Denis Manturov at the RUSSIA EXPO: "We are not closing our borders to foreign companies and specialists"
Only 100 European companies or 20% of 500 have officially left the Russian market, most of them have reverse options, said Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Minister of Industry and Trade, at the plenary session "On Key Achievements and Results of Industry Development. Final Collegium". The open dialog with the participation of heads of Russian regions, representatives of executive authorities and business took place on February 14 at the International RUSSIA EXPO as part of the National Achievements Forum: Industry.
"Of the 500 large European companies - I do not take into account those with a turnover of less than half a billion rubles a year - from various European countries so far only 100 have officially left our market. This is 20%. At the same time, I will not name which ones, but most of them have options by decision of the President. Now they are limited to two years, but such options do exist, and this shows that our market is interesting and our potential is also interesting," said Denis Manturov, referring to the data of the Association of European Businesses.
He also noted that the country has been attracting foreign intellectual components and investments for many years: "We do not stop these approaches and definitely do not close our borders, and we will continue to attract them, creating all the appropriate conditions both for individual specialists and for investors and owners of enterprises ready to come to us from abroad".
As part of the business program of the Industry Day, guests of the RUSSIA EXPO can get acquainted with new developments in the Russian industry, learn about opportunities to build a career in the technology sector and measures of state support for the industry, as well as analyze examples of successful cooperation between the government and business. The highlight of the day will also be the "Rhythms of Industry" concert with the participation of popular music stars.
