participated in the closing plenary discussion "Designing the Future"of
the International Symposium "Inventing the Future", In his speech, he
addressed the main technological trends of the future.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also got acquainted with the exposition of the National Center "RUSSIA", which started to work on November 4 according to the Order of President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The National Center shows the country's key achievements and preserves the heritage of the International Exhibition and Forum "RUSSIA".
Denis Manturov, together with Natalia Virtuozova, the General director of the National Center "RUSSIA", visited the exhibition ‘Heritage for the Future’. They paid attention to the library, where one can learn how science fiction writers imagined the future; to the "Hall of Inventions", where it is shown how the dreams and ideas of writers were brought to life by scientists and inventors; to the exposition of the Movement of the First, where you can learn how a dream becomes a reality; and to an exhibition featuring more than 250 works by graduates of creative universities in Russia, China, India, Brazil, Iran and Ethiopia — all of them explore the matter of the future.
"It is already obvious today that artificial intelligence and quantum technologies are at the heart of the revolutionary breakthroughs of tomorrow. Front-end robotics and unmanned vehicles. The development of genetics, biopharma and personalized medicine. Management of thermonuclear fusion and development of methods to reduce the anthropogenic impact on the biosphere of our planet. As well as creating conditions for deep space exploration," the First Deputy Prime Minister said.
The announced solutions will radically change the industrial and socio-cultural landscape. They will become a key driver for increasing life expectancy and quality, as well as for slowing down an environmental degradation, and for preserving biodiversity. The First Deputy Prime Minister also stressed the importance of international cooperation. The symposium "Inventing the Future" was attended by representatives of more than 100 countries.
"Russia expects to become one of the key participants in such cooperation for the sake of the future. And for this, we have an experience of the effective work on global scientific and social projects of the modern world. We bear in mind the issues of biosafety, molecular biology, the development of neurotechnology and genome research. The same applies to fulfillment of the nuclear medicine and photonics’ potential. The study of high energies and the structure of new materials. Conduction of fundamental space research, including unraveling the origin of the Universe. We are ready to explore these and a number of other areas with all interested international partners," Denis Manturov said.
The International Symposium "Inventing the Future" is being held from November 4 to 6. Participants include scientists, researchers, futurists, science fiction writers, and representatives from government bodies from 101 countries, including Russia, India, Italy, Iran, China, the UAE, Serbia, the USA, and France. The program features over 60 sessions across four tracks: "Future of Human," "Future of Technology," "Future of Multipolar World," and "Future of Civilizations." The International Symposium "Inventing the Future" is the first event of the National Centre RUSSIA, which was established on July 1, 2024, by the order of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The Centre aims to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO and showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens. The work of the Centre involves federal authorities, state companies, corporations, and regions.
The moderators and speakers of the Symposium formulated the most significant results of their joint work.
On November 6, the discussion "Shaping the Future: Design" took place.
Threats in the context of accelerating digitalization and the role of artificial intelligence in ensuring data protection were discussed by the participants of the Symposium "Inventing the Future".
