Ten years together: the achievements of Crimea and Sevastopol were presented at the RUSSIA EXPO
Achievements
of the peninsula in culture and patriotic education, youth policy development,
tourism and hospitality industry, breakthrough projects and agricultural
potential of the region. The RUSSIA EXPO hosted the plenary session
"Together into the Future: 10 Years of the Russian Spring", timed to
coincide with the anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol
with Russia. The session was moderated by Natalia Virtuozova, Director General
of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"».
The day of
reunification of Crimea and Russia has forever passed into history and became
the starting point of a new era, emphasized the Head of the Republic Sergei
Aksyonov.
"The
decision of our President was based on the will of the people, on truth and
justice. For Crimea it has been a decade of freedom and development. There are
positive changes in all spheres: from infrastructure and industry to healthcare
and education. The unique objects built over the past years have become symbols
of a revived Russia - symbols of the power of our country. "Crimean
Spring" opened the way to the return of the native Russian lands, marked
the restoration of historical justice and the unity of the Russian world. All
this was made possible thanks to President Vladimir Putin. He saved the peoples
of Crimea from war and genocide. He constantly keeps his hand on the pulse of
the changes taking place in the Russian Crimea. This is the key factor in all
achievements. Thank you for Crimea - long live Russia," said Sergei
Aksyonov.
For
Crimeans and Sevastopol residents, the anniversary of the Russian Spring is one
of the main holidays, said Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev.
"We
have built dozens of social facilities: schools, kindergartens, clinics,
hundreds of kilometers of roads. The Tavrida highway has been built, a cultural
cluster on Cape Khrustalny, a yacht marina in Balaklava, a museum and
archaeological park "Tauric Chersonese" are being built by order of
the President. The city is developing and changing for the better, but it
retains the main thing: its spirit and traditions. Ten years ago, Sevastopol
became the pulse of Russia, its patriotic capital. And since then, we firmly
know - when we are united - we are invincible," said Mikhail Razvozhayev
in a video message.
According
to Maria Litovko, Deputy Governor of Sevastopol, 76 parks and public gardens
have been built in the city over 10 years, 660 kilometers of roads have been
repaired, engineering networks are being modernized, and the cellular coverage
zone is increasing. In addition, 50 schools and kindergartens, 78 healthcare
facilities have been erected and repaired.
"In
2015, thanks to government support, 150 hectares of vineyards were planted for
the first time in 20 years. Also, for the first time in 20 years kindergartens
and schools were built - there was no such thing before. The number of
investors entering our region is growing every year. Over the past 10 years,
the population has increased one and a half times. We have a breakthrough
project for each sector of development," said Maria Litovko.
The life of the peninsula is maintained on conscientious, talented people, said the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuriy Gotsanyuk. According to him, over 10 years, wages on the peninsula have increased 2.8 times, unemployment has more than halved, and the poverty rate is falling.
"Russia has become a real ark of
salvation for us - my deepest gratitude to the Russians who support us.
Together we have achieved good results - both in the economic and social
spheres. Crimea is developing actively, there are very serious breakthroughs -
in tourism, in agriculture, and in the economy as a whole. We have begun to
revitalize entire industries. For example, the volume of aquaculture has
increased by more than five times. The number of housing under construction is
increasing, we are renovating transport and resorts. More than 1400 investment
projects are being realized on the territory of the republic," said Yuri
Gotsanyuk.
People's Artist of the RSFSR Nadezhda
Babkina, who regularly visits the peninsula, spoke about the role of Crimea in
patriotic education. According to her, the unity of Crimeans has become an
example for the whole country. In turn, Anton Shkaplerov, a test cosmonaut of
the unit of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, candidate of technical
sciences, colonel of the Russian Air Force, Hero of the Russian Federation,
native of Sevastopol, drew attention to the fact that now it is necessary to
tell more about the heroic past, present and future of Russia.
Breakthrough projects are being
implemented on the territory of the peninsula. In particular, the first
phygital center in Russia was built in Sevastopol, which allows integrating
computer games with traditional sports. This was the format of the Games of the
Future in Kazan. In addition, an IT-cluster is being built here.
At the moment, on the territory of
Crimea and Sevastopol not only the existing cultural heritage objects are being
restored, but also new ones are being created. In particular, it is planned to
open museums of antiquity and Byzantium, Christianity, as well as the Museum of
Crimea and Novorossiya in Chersonese, said the author of the project Ivan
Privalov. They will tell about the ancient history and rich present of the
peninsula. In addition, it is a great platform for making movies, said Soviet
and Russian actress and director Natalia Bondarchuk. According to her, Crimea
is the country's main filming ground.
Large enterprises are being revived in the republic and Sevastopol - in particular, it concerns expert cosmetics produced by the company "Crimean Rose", founded about a hundred years ago. The company's products used to occupy about 3% of the specialized market - and now the enterprise is again becoming a showcase of Crimea. Now it processes about 10 tons of rose petals a year, said Ivan Gladun, CEO of the company.
At the end of the session, the republic handed over to each region a sapling of Crimean pine, which became a symbol of the "Russian Spring". In turn, Sevastopol presented a historical three-volume book about the peninsula. In addition, on the instructions of Mikhail Razvozhayev, memorial letters were brought to the Exposition for each of the heads of the Russian regions.
