Children’s voices to sound on the National Centre RUSSIA radio during "Childhood Week"
In early June, the National Centre RUSSIA radio will feature children’s voices as part of the "Childhood Week" campaign, timed to coincide with Children’s Day.
Students aged 8 to 11 from the Young Tour Guides School have recorded announcements and invitations to expositions. The young radio presenters are children who already lead tours at the National Centre. All of them have received training in speech techniques and voice work at the Young Tour Guides School.
"The National Centre RUSSIA radio is the sound of joy, celebration, and warmth for our guests. For Children’s Day, the National Centre RUSSIA is launching 'Childhood Week.' Our students from the Young Tour Guides School have taken the microphones from us, the professional presenters, and recorded all the announcements and invitations for the National Centre’s tours — in the Department Store, the Gastronomic Rows, and the guest areas. For the children, it’s a great pleasure to speak into a real microphone, be in a real radio studio, and, of course, become our little stars," said Natalia Selikhova, head of image broadcasting at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The first group of students will graduate from the Young Tour Guides School during "Childhood Week." The future guides have spent four months studying different types and formats of tours, audience engagement techniques, and speech delivery.
In early June, the children will lead tours at the National Centre RUSSIA, including for counsellors from the Artek International Children’s Centre, who will visit the National Centre RUSSIA for an exchange of experience.
The next enrolment for the Young Tour Guides School will begin in autumn. All details are available on the website russia.ru.
