Dream come true: "Young Tour Guide School of Russia"project opens applications for a new intake

Applications are now open for the new season of the "Young Tour Guide School of Russia" project. Young people aged 12 to 17 inclusive from Moscow and the Moscow Region can take part in the selection process. The programme is held in person in Moscow at the National Centre RUSSIA.

The "Young Tour Guide School of Russia" is a project for those who want to learn how to tell inspiring, accurate and engaging stories about the Motherland. Classes, training sessions and tours take place at the actual venues and expositions of the National Centre RUSSIA. Professional guides will teach participants how to work with an audience and create their own routes, while invited experts will share the secrets of public speaking and working with words. Participants can make new friends and meet like-minded people and, most importantly, gain real experience and lead their first tours.

Applications have been open on the National Centre RUSSIA website since 15 August. Applicants can already complete the application form and write a motivation letter explaining why they want to become young tour guides and what they expect from taking part in the project. Once the application has been confirmed, the creative assignment will become available in the applicant's personal account. It must be completed between 1 and 20 September.

The list of participants who successfully pass the selection process will be published on the website on 28 September. The programme will run from 4 October 2026 to 23 May 2027. Classes will be held on Sundays at the National Centre RUSSIA (14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Moscow).

The "Young Tour Guide School of Russia" is an original project of the National Centre RUSSIA that grew out of the school of the same name at the International RUSSIA EXPO. The first graduates discovered first-hand just how exciting the profession of a guide can be: they led real tours for visitors, including well-known figures, distinguished delegations and even the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. For many of them, the project became not only a school for the profession, but also a place where they found new friends, support and understanding — the very values that make a true family.

Today, the "Young Tour Guide School of Russia" is a large, close-knit community bringing together more than a hundred children and mentors from across the country. Branches of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Primorye Territory and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra have already joined the project.
