Nine hundred billion for a new life: the development of new regions was discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO
About 900
billion rubles have been allocated for the restoration and socio-economic
development of our country's new regions. The goal of the program is to achieve
average Russian quality of life indicators by 2030.
The
large-scale construction and reconstruction work deployed in the new regions of
our country were discussed at a round table within the framework of the
National Achievements Forum. The discussion was moderated by Valery Leonov,
Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia.
Magomed
Tsechoev, Director of the Department for Coordination of Socio-Economic
Development of Regions of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities
of Russia, reminded that the state program "Restoration and Socio-Economic
Development of the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic,
Zaporozhye region and Kherson region" was adopted to accelerate
reconstruction work in the new regions and to develop infrastructure on their
territory.
"The
state program, approved at the end of last year by the Russian Government
Resolution No. 2255, includes a large number of activities. The program
allocates about 900 billion rubles for their implementation. The goal of this
program is to overcome the socio-economic lag of new regions, to achieve the
level of average Russian indicators of the quality of life of Russian citizens,
socio-economic development in general, as well as the creation of a favorable
investment climate by 2030," said Magomed Tsechoev.
Ilshat Shagiakhmetov, Director General of the Territory Development Fund PLC, spoke about the Fund's activities on the development of free economic zones in new regions.
"We have a noble goal, and at the center of our goal is a person. The task set by Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin is very specific. By 2030, the standard of living in the new regions should reach the Russian average. The Territory Development Fund as the management company of the free economic zone is entrusted with a number of functions. Among them are investment attraction and infrastructure development. All this work is aimed at ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of the new entities, improving the level and quality of life of residents," said Ilshat Shagiakhmetov.
The Foreign Minister
will speak at one of the key events of the Symposium - the panel discussion
"Future of Multipolar World."
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
