Riding a KAMAZ truck across the dunes of the African desert: 5D cinema at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition
The National Centre RUSSIA invites Moscow dwellers and guests of the city to visit the "Journey Across Russia" exposition. There, in the area of the Volga Federal District, a full-size replica of a racing KAMAZ truck is showcased. There is a 5D cinema inside, where anyone can feel like they are in a real truck and taking part in a real rally, and have a ride through the dunes of the African desert. The 5D effect is achieved with the help of special glasses and movable seats.
"In 2024, the KAMAZ company introduced new models: the KAMAZ-54902 tractor truck, and the KAMAZ-54901 gas version. Autonomous (self-driven) trucks and the hydrogen-powered KAMAZ-53193 “Chistogor” are currently being developed, which opens up new horizons for eco-friendly transport," said Olga Dodonova, a tour guide at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The company also released the KAMAZ-6559 autonomous dump truck, named Jupiter-30. It is designed to transport loose rock or ore using unmanned technology — with no people present in the dangerous area where heavy-duty trucks and excavators work. Due to this feature, there is no driver's cabin in the truck's design. It is capable of transporting loads up to 30 tons in weight in fully automatic or remote mode. At the same time, its speed is up to 56 km/h.
In addition to the Jupiter-30, the KAMAZ company has released the "Atlant-49 Robocop" autonomous dump truck. The largest self-driving dump truck with a lifting capacity of 220 tons is also under development.
Visitors can attend guided tours of the "Journey Across Russia" exposition free of charge with prior registration. All details are available on the National Centre RUSSIA website in the "Events" section.
