Director of the Museum of the Siege told about the support of St. Petersburg residents
Voting for the best regional projects continues on the "Achievements.RF" portal. Among the St. Petersburg nominees is the Museum of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad.
St. Petersburg presented 19 achievements for the project of the International RUSSIA EXPO. The Museum of Defense and Siege of Leningrad is currently among the top five. According to its director Elena Lezik, residents actively join the voting and support the museum, which has already collected almost 30 thousand votes.
"Practice shows that thematic institutions often have a drop in visits when another memorable date passes. There is no such thing in our museum, we always have a lot of visitors. Residents of St. Petersburg, guests of our city treat the museum with particular reverence. This is really our history, the history of our families. We often read such messages in the book of reviews: "We went to St. Petersburg specially to visit the Museum of Defense", — said Lezik.
In addition to the presented exposition, the museum is also responsible for the preservation and restoration of many exhibits, for scientific and publishing work. Now the Institute for the Study of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad works on its basis.
The first place in the voting on the portal "Achievements.RF" is taken by the holiday of graduates "Scarlet Sails", which collected more than a million votes. The second place goes to the youth project of accessible co-working spaces "Just" (186.5 thousand votes), the third place is held by the Unified Card of St. Petersburg resident, which received 51 thousand votes.
