Dmitry Milyaev named the top places to visit in the Tula region
At the National Centre RUSSIA, as part of the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the Future", a meeting was held with the Governor of the Tula Region, Dmitry Milyaev. The head of the region named the top tourist attractions.
"First of all, we invite you to Tula. Here you can explore a whole range of museums. The Museum of Arms is a uniquely located site. The Kazanskaya Embankment, the historical centre — all of this, in my opinion, is very interesting. But we are also developing routes to the municipalities: Polenovo, Yasnaya Polyana, Kulikovo Field — the first battlefield of Rus'. The range of attractions is very broad," said Dmitry Milyaev.
In addition, as part of the cycle "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps", Dmitry Milyaev spoke about the development of tourism in the region. According to him, this area is actively developing in the Tula region. He noted that both the attendance of museums and cultural events and the overall tourist appeal of the region are growing. He stressed that tourism is the perfect way to discover one’s native land and country.
The Governor also noted that Tula has become the third museum capital of Russia. There are more than 120 museums in the region, including those of federal level. The Governor highlighted that major projects have been implemented to renovate the historical centre of Tula and to create the embankment. Many cultural sites have been restored not only in the regional capital but also in the municipalities.
"In the past, the idea arose to organise excursions around the Tula region for families of participants in the special military operation. This initiative proved effective. We have expanded this practice. Now the brothers and sisters of SMO participants also go on these excursions," said the Governor.
Meetings with governors are held as part of the programme of the National Centre RUSSIA — "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps", aimed at achieving national development goals and improving citizens’ quality of life.
One of Kenya’s most recognisable performers, Sanaipei Tande, will perform at the International Music Contest "Intervision".
The meeting brought together representatives of government, business, experts, students of Moscow universities.
