"Novomoskovsk-2030: Together Towards the Anniversary": an open dialogue on the city’s future held at the National Centre RUSSIA
The National Centre RUSSIA hosted the open dialogue "Novomoskovsk — 2030. On the Way to the 100th Anniversary" — a key event in preparation for the city’s main celebration. The meeting brought together representatives of government, business, experts, students of Moscow universities originally from Novomoskovsk, and everyone interested in the development of their hometown.
The event was opened by host Nadezhda Dolgikh: "This is not just a conversation about plans — this is joint designing of the future. And it is important that it takes place here, in the capital, where we can attract the attention of federal structures, investors and young talents."
With a welcoming address, Alexei Davletshin, Deputy Governor of the Tula Region, said: "Novomoskovsk is one of the main drivers of the region. We are investing in its economy, ecology and infrastructure. But without the participation of the residents themselves, without their ideas and energy, no project will be truly successful."
Alexei Platonov and Ruslan Butov — the heads of the municipality and the administration — presented the concept of the city’s development by 2030: urban improvement, digitalisation, youth support, restoration of historical sites and the development of green zones.
The open dialogue format sparked special interest: residents asked questions in person and via video messages — from the quality of roads to bringing university graduates back to their hometown.
Alexander Yaroshevsky, Minister of Economic Development of the Tula Region, spoke about plans to attract investment and create new jobs.
Irina Guseva, State Duma deputy and Co-Chair of the All-Russian Congress of Municipalities (VARMSU), emphasised: "Novomoskovsk is an example of how authorities and society can work hand in hand. Such dialogues should become the norm."
Among the guests were representatives of P&G, GOTEK, public organisations, as well as students of Moscow State University, the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, and MGIMO — future specialists, many of whom plan to return to Novomoskovsk.
During the meeting, the "Novomoskovsk — Territory of Return" programme was announced — supporting young specialists — along with the "Novomoskovsk-2030" ideas competition, where the best projects will receive grants.
"Novomoskovsk 2030 is a city our children will be proud of. And we will build it together — government, business and residents. Every voice matters," said Ruslan Butov, Head of the Administration.
