Kenya’s top star impressed by Russia and "Intervision"
One of Kenya’s most recognisable performers, Sanaipei Tande, will perform sixth at the International Music Contest "Intervision". This became known after the draw held at the National Centre RUSSIA on 12 September.
"I got a very good number. To be honest, I was hoping for nine — I came here thinking: 'number 9, number 9'. But six is also good. I think it was a very interesting way to hold the draw. We had no idea how the procedure would go. Nevertheless, everything turned out just great," said Sanaipei Tande.
Sanaipei Tande is one of Kenya’s most recognisable celebrities. She not only sings and writes music but also actively appears in films and TV series. This spring, she starred in two of the country’s most popular shows about the world of wealth and glamour: "Chocolate Empire" and "Cash". At "Intervision", she will perform the song "Flavour", a kind of love confession.
"Everything was organised very professionally. I really like this wonderful platform and your country in general, as I am here for the first time. I want every Kenyan to know that this is a place not only for great travel but also for learning a lot. For example, about art and culture. This helps you truly feel Russia and understand that Russians themselves are very kind and responsive people," noted Sanaipei Tande.
The "Intervision" final will take place on Saturday in Moscow at the Live Arena. Russia will be represented by singer Shaman. In total, 23 participants will take to the stage that evening.
The meeting brought together representatives of government, business, experts, students of Moscow universities.
