Two directors from Zabaykalye got married at the RUSSIA EXPO
Two lovebirds sealed their union at the International RUSSIA EXPO. Alexander Tokarev, director and employee of the Ministry of Culture of the Zabaykalye region, and Yulia Sidorovich, director of the State Song and Dance Ensemble "Zabaykalye Cossacks".
The newlyweds studied together at the East-Siberian State Institute of Culture where they met. After meeting his future wife, Alexander decided to move from the Irkutsk region to Zabaykalye (Transbaikalia).
The marriage ceremony was held in the Semeiskie and Guran family traditions. Alexander comes from the Guran family, and Yulia is a representative of the Semeiskie people. These are amazing peoples of Zabaykalye. Semeiskie were exiled there during the division of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Gurans are Zabaykalye Cossacks, born from a mixture of blood and cultures of the ancient inhabitants of the region.
This is not the first wedding ceremony held at the RUSSIA EXPO. Earlier, young employees of the Vostochny Cosmodrome Alexander and Alyona Andreichenko got married here. And Vladislav Fedorov and Zhanna Ksenofontova got married according to Yakutia’s traditions.
The performance took place as part of the international Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth."
