One more wedding at the RUSSIA EXPO - this time according to the traditions of Yakutia
Another married couple cemented their union at the International RUSSIA EXPO. This time the wedding ceremony was held according to Yakut traditions - with colorful outfits decorated with sacred elements. Vladislav Fedorov and Zhanna Ksenofontova became newlyweds.
"We are very happy! If someone had told us a year ago that we would be getting married in such a place, we would not have believed it," said the bride.
The outfits of the newlyweds reflected the traditional style, spiritual ideals and worldview of the Yakut people. The first part of the ceremony was traditional, and at the end there was a blessing ceremony. And afterwards the official registration of the marriage began. According to Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director General of the ANO «Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"», more than 40 weddings will take place during the exposition.
"Our exposition is about love for people, for children, for family, about love for the Motherland and love of man and woman. Today we saw a colorful, national, extraordinary wedding from Yakutia. This is another opportunity to get acquainted with our rich, vast Russia, its culture and traditions," said Anastasia Zvyagina.
Let us remind that the first official wedding at the RUSSIA EXPO took place on November 10. Then two employees of the Vostochny Cosmodrome - Alexander and Alyona Andreychenko - exchanged rings. The young people met at work and decided to hold the wedding ceremony at the most magnificent exposition in the country.
During the all-Russian survey "What does the Motherland begin with?", people across the country are answering this question in their own way, opening up the innermost corners of their souls.
Souvenir nevalyashkas (traditional Russian roly-poly dolls), are attracting particular attention, with guests choosing them for their harmonious combination of Russian colour and traditional Chinese symbols.
Under the guidance of artisans, each guest made an unusual souvenir that can become either a personal talisman or a gift with a special story.
