power of our country, but also the achievements of artists. This includes cult
cinematographers: actors, directors and cameramen. Several thematic expositions
are waiting for the guests at the Museum of Cinema.
Visitors to
Pavilion No. 36 can see all the expositions of the museum absolutely free of
charge. The main milestones in the history of Russian cinematography can be
explored in the "History Labyrinth", and you should also visit the
"Sergei Eisenstein's Study": see the director's authentic personal
belongings, his drawings and manuscripts. Films of the master are also
regularly shown here.
Another
interesting exposition is "Time of Victories", where the main prizes
and awards of Soviet and Russian cinematographers are presented. For example,
an Oscar statuette for the documentary "Moscow Strikes Back"
("Rout of the German troops near Moscow").
On February
23, 2024 actor, director and People's Artist of the USSR Oleg Yankovsky could
have turned 80 years old. His creative legacy is multifaceted, and his image is
associated with both mass cinema and innovative screen experiments for a select
audience.
And fans of
the great Oleg Yankovsky will surely enjoy visiting the exposition opened in
honor of the artist's anniversary. You can see posters of his major movies,
sketches of sets and costumes, including the costume of Munchausen, as well as
rare photos from the shootings.
The
collection of exhibits dedicated to Alexei German's movie "Hard to be a
God", based on the novel of the same name by the Strugatsky brothers,
deserves special attention. Costumes, sketches, household items, photos from
the shooting allow you to immerse in the process of creating the cult picture.
The
exposition "Our People. The Universe of Leonid Gaidai's Characters"
is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the beloved director. The guests of
the exposition will be able to try on the looks of the famous characters, try
out a time machine and even find themselves in the iconic movie sets. For
example, in Shurik's kitchen or Shpak's apartment.
The event
is organized by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and
the Arctic, with support from Norilsk Nickel PJSC and the Rosatom State
Corporation.
