This land is the richest, unique region, a huge storehouse of minerals, vast expanses and magnificent diverse nature.

The decorators of the fir trees tried to convey this beauty. Stylized ornaments shaped like the sun remind that Transbaikalia is one of the five sunniest places in Russia.

The region has not preserved bright traditional folk arts and crafts. But Zabaykalsky region craftsmen have made flat wooden items depicting the most amazing sights of the region. In the Zabaykalsky region there are the most ancient churches and holy places, the great Buddhist place of power Alkhanai.

Large cedar cones collected in the Transbaikal taiga remind of the natural riches. Traditional national ornaments of nomadic peoples also stand out on the fir trees.

On the Main Alley of VDNH visitors are greeted by New Year fir trees, each representing a region of the country. The RUSSIA EXPO is open from Tuesday to Sunday, Monday is a technical day. The most convenient time to visit is in the mornings and weekdays, but the exposition is open to everyone on weekends as well. All expositions and events are free of charge.
