Yevgeny Poddubny: volunteers make an invaluable contribution to victory

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting Russian service personnel by responding rapidly to the constantly changing needs on the front line. This was stated by Hero of Russia and VGTRK war correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny on the sidelines of the All-Russian People's Front Forum "Everything for Victory!" at the National Centre RUSSIA.

"Volunteers are capable of responding to any request almost instantly. And those requests change frequently — virtually every week. This is also an extremely important mechanism that makes it possible to provide fighting units quickly, directly and precisely with the support they need as new requirements arise. The people who take part in fundraising campaigns and organise supplies for the Armed Forces are civilians. Yet every one of them makes an invaluable contribution to our victory. Every one of them is part of this struggle. For that, they deserve our deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks," said Hero of Russia and VGTRK war correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny.

According to the war correspondent, thanks to the dedicated work of volunteers, Russian service personnel receive the assistance they need in a timely manner, while civic initiatives have become an important element of support for participants in the special military operation.

The People's Front Forum "Everything for Victory!" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on 13 July. Among those attending was President of Russia Vladimir Putin, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Sergei Kiriyenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova, and many others.
